The model is becoming a pathway
An AI system that only answers a health question has limited operational power. Connecting that answer to the record, booking, pharmacy, payment, and clinical workflow turns the interface into infrastructure that can determine whether care is completed.
That integration can reduce friction and help users navigate fragmented systems. It also lets a small number of platforms shape triage, provider visibility, and the sequence of care at population scale.
Governance must reach beyond accuracy
A medically accurate suggestion can still produce harm if routing is opaque, data follows the patient without meaningful control, or commercial incentives determine the available path. Evaluation must cover completion, equity, privacy, and operational failures.
Patients need to know why they were routed, how to correct the record, how a human clinician can intervene, and how to leave the platform. Exit is a health-safety feature when the interface becomes the front door.
